As the State Forest Service (SFS) kindly reminds everyone - and we remind our clients - every forest owner who has carried out any forest management activities in their forest in the previous calendar year is obliged to report them to the SFS. For example, if you have felled trees.
According to Section 29(2) of the Forest Law, the owner or legal possessor of a forest is obliged to inform the State Forest Service by 1 February of each year about forestry activities carried out on his/her property in the previous calendar year, including felling of trees.
The State Forest Service invites to submit this information electronically via the e-services portal epak.vmd.gov.lv. In the “Forest” section of the portal, it is possible to select the relevant type of report and easily enter the required data. Users can also find a description of the service and a video tutorial to help them prepare and submit the report.
The e-services portal also allows you to submit other forestry-related reports.
Forestry activity reports can also be submitted in person at any State Forest Service forest office or sent as an electronic document.
